MuMETAL® is well suited to applications where the goal is to achieve as low of a field as possible. It is the optimal alloy when trying to reach magnetic fields close to zero. It saturates in high intensity fields and can be used in combination with NETIC® to shield higher intensity fields.
Our stock MuMETAL® is Stress Annealed (stress relieved) for ease of fabrication; and must be hydrogen annealed as a final process to maximize its shielding properties. Conforms to ASTM A753 Alloy 4 (UNS N14080), and MIL-N-14411 Comp 1.
